The Lumineers are an American folk rock and Americana band based in Denver, Colorado. The main band members include Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites. The band began song writing and performance in 2005 and were joined by the Cellist and vocalist Neyla Pekarek in 2010. In most recent years The Lumineers have become one of the most popular folk rock musicians with their popularity continuing to rise. Perfect for spring time, the band has a stripped back fresh and real sound. Hugely influenced by artists such as Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan, you just know you’re in for a musical treat. Well known for singles such as “Ho Hey” and “Stubborn Love’’ you are guaranteed to be adding their albums to your Spotify.
Crystal Fighters are an English/Spanish electronic and folk band. Formed over too countries in 2007, their first major appearance came with their Star of Love Album that was released in the UK in 2010. Their style is described as fast, mesmeric and passionate, they play electric and acoustic guitars and traditional Basque instruments. Well known for their use of the txalaparta on stage; a wooden xylophone-like tool played by a pair. Crystal Fighters’ style is such a large cocktail of genres with fast dance music accompanied by melodies and traditional Basque folk dance. Listening to these guys makes it almost impossible to sit still.
The English singer-songwriter and musician Newton Faulkner is from Reigate, Surrey. He is best known for his unusual style of guitar playing. His three most popular and well know singles include “Dream Catch Me”, “I Need Something” and “Teardrop”. His songs are extremely uplifting and happy, you will find yourself clicking repeat and singing along within minutes.
